Nutella-Stuffed Cinnamon Sugar Muffins

Muffins filled with Nutella and topped with a cinnamon-sugar mixture. Moist and fluffy doughnuts. Oh, you know, FILLED WITH NUTELLA and covered in cinnamon sugar. Yum

Ingredients you need:

for the muffins:

  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup canola oil
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup Nutella

for the topping

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoons cinnamon

How to Make The Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease a cupcake tin and set it aside. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Whisk to combine. Combine oil, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Stir to combine. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and (again) stir to combine.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into the bottom of each cupcake cavity. Place a teaspoon (or tablespoon :)) of Nutella in the center of the batter. Top with 3 more tablespoons. The cavities should be 3/4 of the way full.
  3. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the muffins are a light golden brown on top. Remove from the oven and cool the pan on a wire rack.
  4. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Melt the butter. Remove them from the pan as soon as the muffins are cool enough to handle. One by one, dip the tops of the muffin in the butter – gently shaking off excess butter. Dip in the sugar mixture, rolling around to ensure the entire top is coated. Place on a cooling rack to let the cinnamon-sugar coating set. Enjoy warm (or reheat in the microwave for 15 seconds).
