These Korean beef tacos are the perfect blend of sweet and savory, with a bit of heat thrown in for good measure! Trust us, these tacos are anything but ordinary!
Ingredients
- 1 pound of top sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 knob of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 1/2 a pear, peeled and grated
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts
- 1/4 cup of kimchi
- Sriracha mayo (optional)
- 6–8 flour tortillas
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and pear. Add the steak strips and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
- In a large skillet or wok over high heat, add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the steak strips in batches and stir fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes per batch.
- Assemble the tacos by adding some steak strips to each tortilla, then topping with cilantro, peanuts, kimchi and sriracha mayo (if using). Enjoy!
