The chicken milanese recipe is a classic Italian dish that is loved by people of all ages. This dish is made with breaded and fried cutlets of chicken or veal, served with lemon slices and arugula to balance out the richness.


  • 4 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Italian style breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • fresh parsley chopped

For the salad: 

  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1/2 red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • shaved parmesan cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prepare chicken by cutting into thin slices, about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  4. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, milk, and eggs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. In another shallow dish, mix together the Italian style breadcrumbs and panko breadcrumbs.
